Phase one of our Marlow project complete

We were delighted to accept an invite from our client to visit phase one of their project, the completed swimming pool/garden building in the South Buckinghamshire Green Belt. The 30sqm building will provide complementary amenity space for their garden and outdoor swimming pool area. The building was orientated to provide wonderful views of the surrounding ancient woodland which forms part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The external finishes include western red cedar cladding and slate tiles with integrated solar panels. Works also includes a new patio area and an upgrade of the existing swimming pool. We are looking forward to starting phase two of the project, which will be a substantial reworking of the existing house, to include a new two storey rear extension and garage. Combined, both phases will form a stunning contemporary home.

Planning granted for Victorian Cottage extension

We are pleased to have recently secured planning approval for a sensitively designed extension to a lovely Victorian Cottage in Alton. Although not listed, the property has an abundance of charm and interesting traditional design features. Our design has created a larger kitchen/dining area that will greatly enhance the family-based lifestyle of our client whilst ensuring the addition is respectfully integrated into the existing house. The external walls will be faced in matching brick and the roof is a combined flat/monopitch style, which maximises the internal height and lessens the impact on the adjoining property. We look forward to work starting on site in the near future.

Their property is part of a small group of Victorian terrace cottages in the heart of Alton and the town’s conservation area. With completion due in the coming weeks, the clients have turned our design into a fabulous new home, with an open plan kitchen/dining and soft seating area, a standalone utility room and guest WC. The project has been completed within budget and our client is now looking to enjoying their hard work.

Start on site in Camberley

We are delighted to post that our project in Crawley Ridge, Camberley is now under way. We visited site on the first day of the construction works to observe the setting out and foundation dig. The first phase of the project encompasses a complete reorganisation of the ground floor layout to include a garage conversion and extensions to the front and rear. The second phase of the project will cover an upgraded master bedroom suite with a vaulted ceiling and terrace. The final phase will be a new double bay garage, built partly into an embankment.

The scheme is shaping up to be another exciting addition to our completed works portfolio. The works are being undertaken by Marshall and Mace and are due for completion next summer.

Planning approval in South Downs National Park

We are delighted to have secured planning approval in South Downs National Park (SDNP) for an exciting front and rear extension on an Arts and Craft style property. The rear extension is an orangery style addition that is linked to the lounge and garden, thereby improving the connectivity between the inside and outside. The front extension is an infill between the existing external walls that will be enclosed by a frameless structural glazing system. To achieve planning approval, we had to ensure the scheme complied with the Dark Skies planning guidance of SDNP, that limits the amount of light pollution to ensure the sky quality of the park. We are now working towards a site start early next year on what promises to be another exciting project.

The project features a series of stunning spaces that together complete this unique 400sqm home. The works were completed as a self-build project and include a detached garage and studio building. The finished result has exceeded our client's expectations and they have successfully completed their project journey. More images can be viewed on our work page.

Planning success with Runnymede Council

We were pleased to receive planning approval recently for a delightful remodelling and extension scheme in Addlestone.

The Victorian era dwelling is an end of terrace property with a double bay frontage. Our clients purchased the property with the aim of creating a new family home, and our brief was to unlock the potential to help realise their dream.

The scheme will feature a master bedroom suite in the loft space with three window dormers and an open plan family/kitchen area complimented by a new utility and WC. Externally the scheme has been designed in sympathetic and harmonious style to blend with the existing house.

We are looking forward to commencing on site later this year.
