After a period in the property, the clients decided to extend the house to create more spaces for a growing family.

The brief was to use the plot in such a way to enlarge living spaces without encroaching too much into the back garden. 

The proposal was to extend the first floor over the garage and for a single storey rear extension, thereby creating 40 sqm of additional gross external area to the side and rear.

As the project was in a Flood Risk Zone, the application required a Flood Risk Assessment.   

Planning was approved in July 2020 and the build was completed in April 2021, on time, and within budget.

The client was delighted that the scheme had achieved everything they had wanted it to.
