Our clients wanted to extend the ground floor space to create an open plan kitchen and dining space. Our solution was to demolish the former coal store, which was used as a utility space (taking up half the width of the rear wall) and extend out into the garden. By doing this we were able to open the back of the house completely and extend the kitchen and dining areas into the new space. With intelligent layout planning, we were also able to integrate a pantry into the design.
The project was completed in summer 2021 by RP Superstructures. The clients are delighted with the result as it has been a life changing transformation of the house and has future-proofed the family for the coming decade.
